about

Babiczstyle has been launched by Robert as a platform for him to release some of the large archive of work that he has written for his live sets. "I see the label as a platform, where i release only my own music and collaborations. I do this to have a platform with the highest possible audio quality and have a place for me and my friends to release our music." - Robert Babicz

To kick things off in the grandest of ways, Robert brings us his stunning 'Remote Kiss' EP. A sensei in the art sound production, Robert's search for sonic perfection always results in us being treated to the most wonderful of listening experiences.

Our three track selection opens with the title track, 'Remote Kiss'. From the opening throb of the bassline, and meteoric horn stabs, we are instantly drawn into the track. Snare snaps join the bassline, and as a melancholic melody and acoustic guitar appear we are treated to a modern day 'Close Encounters'.

'The Sun' opens with its weighty kick drum and underlying pulsing synth lines. A larger bass synth melody drives the track as a rich organ riff sweeps in and out. The break is ruled by a single, twisted synth, but the bass synth powers back, with kick drum, to take us to close.

Final track of the EP is 'Simple Feeling'. From its opening bars, its funky, rolling bassline and hi-hat drives the track. Wistful strings and the dreamiest of melodies sweep in and take us the break of kick drum and synth riff. Then our beats intensify, joined by yet another layered synth line.

Robert is undoubtedly a master at harnessing the energy of tough, abrasive sounds and weaving it together with the most delicate and beautiful of melodies. Each track is constructed with many layers and its this attention to detail that we love him for. We can't wait for Babiczstyle 002!
